Paeans of love, death & hope to egg on the sleep deprived. Old Hag is Lizzy's solo project. Inspired by Valencia's processional 'Lady of the Forlorn", performed in sculptural costumes with DIY props and communal votive offerings at Shambala Festival (2018, 2019 & 2023) and at The Rosehill, Brighton (2022 & 2025). Tracks are recorded binuarally, on redundant pipe organs, all kinds of stringed instruments, adapted hoover, broom, shillelaghs, synths, found & foley sound, drums, hydrophones and layered vocals. Since 2017, Lizzy has been writing with and recording pipe organs in and around Sussex.
​ ​In the studio, recording & mixing the spinning, binaural chorus of Oldhag's 'Hollow Mountain', about breaking cycles of future faking & manifesting pipe dreams. The Sussex folk myth about walking backwards, in circles to conjure the devil, features in both lyrics and visuals.
